My own art work is on hold for a little while these days. My day job as the Head Stitcher for the Joffrey Ballet, which is just a fancy way to say seamstress basically, is getting very exciting. Everyday I feel so honored to be apart of such a creative company of people!! This season we have a new piece opening, not yet titled so we are tentatively calling it Premiere choreographed by Edwaard Liang and opening in October 2008 in Chicago. The costumes are being designed by Chicago fashion designer Maria Pinto and I, as well as my co-workers have high expectations for Ms. Pinto’s designs. I myself am quite excited to get to be apart of producing them and am quite eager to see what she has in store for us. Below is an interview and rehearsal footage of Mr. Liang’s piece.
