My friend Gabe sent me an email recently telling me about these barns he has seen in the south that have quilt patterns painted on them. Apparently it’s all the rage across the Southern States. I am very intrigues by this trend and wonder if it is simply for decoration or to commemorate. I am a great quilt lover and I often llook to them in person and in books for design ideas. I am drawn to the very geometric shaped patterns and most especially the colorful, simple geometric patterns in Amish quilts. He is an image below of one of the barn quilts.
