I’m still trying ot figure out exactly how to photograph my embroideries. Either they come out too dark or too light and washed out. Light is hard thing to master. So these two below are dark, but hopfeully soon I will find the right balance.

Gouache is my new favorite medium. This was what inspired me, I am really interested in exploring geometric shapes (especially triangles) and the colors and shapes of quilt patterns right now and these electrical towers sparked some new ideas for future drawings/embroideries/gouache paintings. My great friend Whitney is going to Europe for the summer tomorrow. Today we had a picnic in the park and flew kites. Best!Picnic food from Sultan’s.
Tom Smith dropped by to hang out for a little while.
