I’m still try­ing ot fig­ure out exactly how to pho­to­graph my embroi­deries. Either they come out too dark or too light and washed out. Light is hard thing to mas­ter. So these two below are dark, but hopfeully soon I will find the right balance.

Something new!

Gouache is my new favorite medium. This was what inspired me, I am really inter­ested in explor­ing geo­met­ric shapes (espe­cially tri­an­gles) and the col­ors and shapes of quilt pat­terns right now and these elec­tri­cal tow­ers sparked some new ideas for future drawings/embroideries/gouache paint­ings. Like the one above.

Bye-bye, birdie

My great friend Whit­ney is going to Europe for the sum­mer tomor­row. Today we had a pic­nic in the park and flew kites. Best!Pic­nic food from Sultan’s.

Tom Smith dropped by to hang out for a little while.
