Last night was the opening of my friend Amanda Browder’s show Cyclone. Amanda’s work combines the use of found and thrifted fabrics and other materials to create wonderful sculptures and installations. Her work is always a treat for me to see, it is smart, funny, pleasing to the eye, winsome, playful and Vibrant, just like the artist herself. Being a fellow fiber person myself, I am always excited by new ways to use soft materials.
